Hello, there!
I am glad you want to know who I am. As you can already read in the header, I am called Rachayita Giri. Since everyone gets creative while speaking that out, I would take a minute of yours and explain how I pronounce my name (and how you are supposed to too).
It goes as:
Ra - as in Rugby
Ch - as in Chocolate
A - as in 'a' day
Yi - as in Year
Ta - as in Taher Shah! (I can't believe I had to use that reference. Better suggestions are most welcome!)
Phew!
I am an engineer by qualification. Also, as is evident, I love to write - so typical of engineers these days but can't quite help it. I am an ardent lover of the quantum gravitational field of study and I am striving (real hard) to make it understandable and appreciable by the common man. Not just the outer space but technology, in general, needs to be more approachable, and I am trying to do just that!
Apart from science, poetry, coffee, and my keyboard are the things I like to live by. I also maintain a blog about the beauty of life and other poetic kinds of stuff at "Music, Beauty and the World." Do check it out!
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you like what you read here!
-With love
Rachayita
